| Bio: Although born and raised in the Portland area, my great great grandparents came across the Oregon Trail and first settled in Myrtle Creek in the 1850's. I arrived back in Douglas County 20 years ago. I run the Law Library and work at the public library as well. United Way allows me to give back to the community I am raising my daughter in as well as sets an example of volunteerism for her - she volunteers at the Boys and Girls Club. |

I soon saw throught the Allocations teams, the value of the United Way and the work the member agencies do. Hearing stories of people who had benefited from United Way was amazing. My involvement with United Way has shown me where there is need in the community and how by utilizing one organization, many can be impacted. I have participated in Allocations, Campaign, Communications, Squad and the Board of Directors. United Way has brought perspective to my life in so many ways. Making Douglas County a better place, for her son to grow up and for her parents and grandmother to grow old, is her most important mission in life. |
